Specificity:
Reacts with chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan
from cartilage (aggrecan).
Species Reactivity:
Reacts with human. No cross-reactivity with
bovine nasal cartilage, rat chondrosarcoma,
chick or shark cartilage aggrecan. Other
species not tested.
Ig Isotype: mouse IgG1
Immunogen:
Human large molecular weight proteoglycan of
articular cartilage (aggrecan)
Format:
100 μL ascites containing 0.01% sodium azide.
Antibody concentration >1 mg/mL. Purified by
Ascites fluid.
Storage and Stability:
-20°C long term, 4°C short term. Stable for at
least 24 months when stored properly.
Applications and Suggested Dilutions:
ELISA: 1:500-1:1,000
Immunoprecipitation: 1:50-1:300
Immunohistochemistry: (paraffin embedded):
1:50-1:3,000. Treat tissue sections with 2
mg/ml testicular hyaluronidase in Na-acetate
buffer, pH 5.5 for 1 hr at 37C, followed by
treatment with 0.2 mg/ml Protease XXIV in
TBS, pH 7.2, for the same time and
temperature.
Western blotting: 1:100-1:300
The optimal dilution for a specific application
should be determined by the researcher.
